SWADE HISTORY

On June 15, 1991 AZADE (Arizona Association for Developmental Education, Arizona’s chapter of the NADE) voted to change its name to the Southwest Association for Developmental Education (SWADE). In March 1992 NADE accepted, recognized, and supported the change at its annual conference.  This change allowed the Arizona association to include the surrounding states that might have trouble initially supporting a state chapter.

The following is a list of the all the past officers of the executive board of SWADE since its establishment.  This list was created at the 2007 NADE conference in Nashville by a group of SWADE members relying on their memory to put it together.
